Basically, I’m looking for Library and Information Services graduate students, or people who got their degree in Library and Information Services (MLIS), current librarians, because I have questions about your career choices, and any help at all would be amazing. I’m basically trying to find what makes me happy in life, and I need more than just the technical stuff in order to make that decision. Even if you’re not in that particular field, if you happen to know anything at all about it, let me know!
A couple of good places to start:
- thelifeguardlibrarian has developed an amazingly comprehensive list of librarians and libraries on tumblr, and it’s a pretty supportive, awesome community.
- I’ve done quite a few interviews with young librarian-types; you can find the interviews here.
- And for the skinny on library school, nobody beats Hack Library School.
What else can we recommend, folks?
