Best-Ever Teen Novels? Vote For Your Favorites

mllteens:

Via NPR Books: Last month we asked you, our audience, to nominate titles for a top-100 list of the best young adult — YA — fiction ever written. Thousands of you sent in nominations. We’ve tabulated those suggestions and, with the help of an expert panel, narrowed the list to the 235 finalists.

VOTE

Ooh! Fellow librarians and YA readers, can we play a game? We’ll hearken back to my college days, when we’d play the noble game Read It at any bookstore.

I’ve read 51. That’s occasionally counting series that I haven’t read every one in it, but not counting series where I’ve only read the first one (His Mortal Instruments, for instance). And I count each series as a single score, even if it’s something like Harry Potter or The Dark Is Rising that is actually 5+ books.

I feel like that’s a respectable start from a list of 200+ for a starting librarian interested in children’s and YA services.

So, how many have you read of these?
